Its been awhile since I’ve updated. We’ve been busy moving and now we’re kindda almost done. Its a friggin nightmare trying to make everything fit into this new place as we’ve moved from a much bigger house to this. The internet and phone line is finally back up. Yayyyy!
We’re now Week 7 into training and everything has been going well amidst the madness of moving and afew other events that have come to pass in the last few weeks. It has been hectic and I’m so looking forward to a weekend whereby we can just sit, relax and do nothing in our new home. So hectic, in fact, that I actually managed to forget to register for the GCHIM during the early-earlybird period, which ended yesterday.
Well, its still not too late to register albeit the slight increase in registration fee.
Feels like I’m getting stronger in swimming and cycling but somehow feels as if I’m “under-runned”. Not really certain if this feeling comes about because I was first a runner before, and running was all I ever did. Yet now, I’m training for three sports all at once and it feels as if I haven’t been doing enough running.
Went for a run this evening for the first time, from the new place. I mapped a route and decided to explore it. It turned out to be pretty crappy. There was alot of traffic, alot of traffic lights which meant I had to stop quite often to get across from one side of the road to the other, hence, disrupting my rhythm. And footpaths that are built only on one side and not the other. WTF?!?
It was crap, I didn’t enjoy the new route, or the whole run. I missed running where we used to live. So sad. Waaaahhhhhhh!!!
I reckon I still need more sleep. Its the one thing that seemed to elude me consistently. I shall endeavour to feed my body with the right dose of sleep and better nutrition.
