So, today is supposed to be a special day. It is the 29th February 2008. This being a leap year, means this day comes only once every four years. This is supposedly good news for all of us because it is an extra day that has been given to us; an extra 24 hours to spend doing anything we desire, only for this year.
What will you be doing ?
I wonder if it is fortunate or not for one to be born on this day – that you only get to have your birthday once every four years. If you only get to celebrate your birthday once every four years, does that make you younger than everyone else? Go figure.
I have finally been able to have afew good nights’ sleep now that the cough is on its way out. There still seems to be some pressure from the sinus, but its also on its way out. Phew.
Last night, I have signed up for the Mooloolaba Triathlon to be held at the end of March. Trying to find accommodation for one night was harder than I had expected. In the end, we ended up with the backpackers at Maroochydore. At $67 (for two), guess I can’t complain.
Now, it just means my honeymoon has ended and I have to get me back in training. I guess I will have to manage with four weeks of training before the event. Starting with my very first “stroke-correction class” at the pool on Monday, might be a good way to go about it. Next, we’ll just have to fit in the bike and run workouts….amongst other things.
So training will officially commence come Monday.
This will be my last weekend of “slothing.”
